1. The name of the school is called Miss Cackels Academy for Witches.
2. The school looked more like a prison with gloomy,grey walls and turrets.Inside it had long narrow corridors and winding staircases.Everything about it was dark and shadowy.
3. The girls wore black gymslips ,black stockings,black hobnailed boots,grey shirts,black and grey ties and the only touch of colour were the sashes round the gymslip -a different colour for each house.
4. I’m not sure because I would like to be a nice witch but it’s really dark and gloomy and seems to be strict.
5. The difference is that they are witches and have got only girls in the school.

7. She is not a good pupil because wherever she went she got into trouble for not doing anything wrong .

2. Dark, creepy, dusty. Gloomy grey walls and turrets. It looked like a prison. It was in a pine forest.
3. Everything was black and grey: ties, dresses. Boring!
4. No because it was all dark and it would be scary.
5.They will teach different topics to the witches. We’re not witches! Woodfield is clean and bright.

1. The name of the school is called Miss Cackles Academy for Witches.
2. The school had gloomy grey walls and turrets, it is high up on a mountain so it is usually covered in mist and fog. It was dark and shadowy, the corridors were long and narrow and the staircases were winding.
3. The school uniform is dark coloured (black and grey) and it has no colour except for the bit of colour on the sash, which has a different colour for each house. Even the summer uniform are grey and black checked.
4. I do not think it was a nice school to go to because there are so many rules that you would get told off everywhere you go, it is dark and gloomy and has lots of shadowy patches, The teacher does not like to do anything new, she likes to stick to the tradition. However, I would not mind going because you get to learn how to ride a broomstick.

The differences between Miss Cackles and Woodfield are: Miss Cackles has only girls and Woodfield has mixed boys and girls, Miss Cackles is a boarding school and Woodfield is not, Miss Cackles uniform is dark and they wear hobnail boots and woodfield is a brighter uniform, the school itself is dark and gloomy with old fashioned portraits on the walls and Woodfield is bright with lots of colourful pictures on the walls that the children have done. There are not many presentations at Miss Cackles and here are lots at Woodfield like the golden table and star of the week , the teacher doesn’t like anything new at Miss Cackles and Woodfield like to introduce new things like the daily mile.

7. Mildred tries to be a good pupil but she is a bit clumsy at times and seems to always be in trouble. I know this because it says in the book that she could not walk the length of the corridor without someone shouting at her for some reason like having her hat on back to front or her shoe laces trailing across the floor. Mildred may not be the best in potion class as her friends keep their distance from her. Mildred must be a nice person because she has got lots of friends.
