Perfect poems

Here is this week’s blogging challenge:

Write a poem, any style you wish about the picture above.

However there are some rules. You are not allowed to use the word… THE!

Try using features such as alliteration, metaphors and similes as well as lots of adjectives to make your poem more appealing!

  1. Lonely soldier,
    Blood red flowers,
    Loudly, death screams in my ears.
    Sunrise creeping over a new day,
    sadness rising on low hills, against splattered flowers in lost war.
    Wind whispering over lifeless poppies,
    I will remember friends I have lost.

    O n top of lifeless body’s that were once fighting for their country

    P eople waiting for their men to come home from the war

    P opping of gunfire, piercing screams

    Y elling of pain , we will never forget
